4age check engine light at steady rpm Author Post smerph42 Member Offline 3 posts [100%] las vegas nv  4age check engine light at steady rpm 9:35 AM 6/16/2012 Reply  Edit My check engine light comes on during steady rpm like freeway driving but then goes away when I speed up or slow down but if I stay steady on the throttle the check engine light will come on. Anyone know any reason why this might happen? I have a standard 4age large port tvis motor all stock if this helps. Thanks in advance.

If u have fsm on hand u will jump the ecu the check engine light will blink (count how many times) this will lead to the part or electrical that needs repair or need to be replaced. Does ur car runs ok when ur at complete stop and check engine is on as well? once u move forward goes away and at freeway speed it disappears at 4500 rpm's above. I do not want to guess if u answer yes to all its ur tps sensor but have someone totally diagnose it before u spend money on brand new tps sensor. KNUK KNUK GARAGE.. I don't remember the code number, but it was the fault code for "air entering system after air meter", or basically a vacuum leak.
