 I Need Help!!! Reply  Edit

I put in an LSD on my GTS none LSD diff. and didn't know that the LSD axles are shorter. What i'm trying to do is find out in INCHES, how long is the LSD axles VS. the none LSD axles, so I would know how much the have the shop cut 'em, I only have one shot @ cutting it so if anybody out there has cut theres before, how much did u cut off, or just the measurements of how long the LSD axles are ? Oh i'm just putting in the stock OEM LSD Axles. thanks in advance and thanks for you time...

Using the search button would have gotten you your answer it like 2sec hehe... I had the same thing you did. If you want your non lsd axles to fit, then you have to cut 7mm off of each end. A shop did it cheap for me and used a flapper wheel on it to clean up the ends so they looked good as new. They installed nice and easily too.

Hope this helps

AFAIK the difference is 8mm, or 5/16" either way i dont think 1 mm will make much of a difference. just dont forget to bevel the ends and clean up the grooves on the ends or it will be a major PITA to put back in.
