I need some help.
ive removed the 17mm crank pulley bolt. i have also removed the 4 12mm bolts holding on the outer pulley (accessory belt)

but for some reason i cannot get the pulley to budge.. its stuck.


i have been spraying WD40 and hitting it with a hammer. i cant seem to make this budge.


any advice?

Hammer can eventually get it. A jaw type gear puller works if you don't mind possibly damaging the pulley. There are some threaded holes in the pulley that you can use somethin like a steering wheel puller, too.

Is the engine in or out of the car? Big pullers are hard to use still in the car, but there are lower profile joints that'll fit if it's still in.

U can also rent a puller kit from Autozone or any autopart store that has a rent a tool program.

this was a big help when i had to remove mine. broke numerous pullers, took days to get it off and thats after 2 weeks of prior soaking in pb blaster. hope this helps.

No access to a puller? Don't us anything with jaws, only bolts with a steering wheel or harmonic balancer puller.
Remove bolt, spray with penetrating oil(wd40 IS NOT penetratig oil!!), replace bolt & only tighten a bit 20-40ftlbs, belts, start engine, rev 3-5000 a few or 5 times, disassemble & it'll slide it off with a bit of luck.
