another suggestion for you bogging 20v guys. Reply  Edit

in the quest to stop my bt20v underpower/bogging issues (after checking the capacitors and replacing ALL sensors.) I installed a "vtec light" from the vvt solenoid. and realized my car only bogged when the vvt was on. solenoid is good and obviously the ecu is sending the signal. so this weekend I'm putting on a new pulley and well see. but if any of you are e,periencing similar symptoms. starts easy, idles amazing, does great in the upper rpm's revs freely, only bogs under load and have to be full throttle to stay with traffic stoplight to stoplight. try the cool "vvt light"

did your VVT pulley exhibit a ticking noise? I hear its a common problem and my blacktop is currently ticking like hell.

How much did yours cost? I'd like to know if silvertops and blacktop pulleys are different in any way

no clicking from mine so I bought a solenoid first. and no fix. I had to buy a new head to get the pulley.
