btw... I've been screaming @ Moto, and the powers that be... about the STUPID policy.... I sometimes wonder what goes on between their collective ears

I have no idea Dan. I just shake my head and wonder what would have happened if a system would have been in place. So far this nonsense has cost me about $10,000. If I lose my second Levin it will have cost me close to $35,000. We're just lucky we haven't been corrupted as bad as the Honda community. If you buy anything with a VIN on it, just make sure you get a handwritten receipt, it will clear you of all guilt.

Good stuff....but i think im going to beat you with getting that s2000 running on a 4ag tach and fuel at least the rest of the sensors I have omori meters for!

lol, now that I think of it, this IS possible hahahhaha let me know if you need pinouts. You should be able to make the whole cluster operational with the swap.

Nice stuff Dan, what fun it is building harnesses from scratch. I said same thing about no more...on my 4th now. What are you plans for mounting the headlights now that the panels are cut off?

The headlights are mounted right now, posted in the last few pics. I think the stock setup uses five 10mm bolts to hold everything in, cutting away the body I've brought that down to three in a triangular pattern. It's still pretty solid.

After doing the one harness, the others come easy. It just sucks looking at connector pinouts to figure out what goes where instead of looking at a 3 page wiring diagram. Doing all the shrink wrapping is so time consuming though. Doing a section must be planned out in everystep as opposed to just cut and paste.

Lookin' good! If I lost two cars I poured my blood sweat and tears into thanks to the bureaucratic nightmare that is california, I would pull out of the car scene altogether! Man, nothing more I hate than red tape!

Believe me, I thought about giving it up. But I make a lot of people happy giving them ride alongs at the track (so many people think that you need a V8 240sx in order to be competitive) or helping them fix their corollas when they don't know how. The most rewarding thing I've found is helping corolla guys, and then seeing THEM help out another corolla guy using stuff I taught them. No sense throwing that away just because some d-bag cop is on an ego trip after watching robocop marathons on TBS.

Thanks again for the support

This week I'm moving on to the engine wiring. With this I wanted to do something different than I've ever done and flex my wiring nuts too lol. The 20v engine didn't come with a wiring harness and no one had one for sale. So next best thing! Go to the junk yard and clip off plugs and make your own!

With this harness all three engine harnesses will be combined into one main harness that exits the center of the firewall near the distributor. The alternator wiring, the starter wiring and the engine wiring are all in one harness now, the way it should have been done. No alternator wiring by the passenger wheel well anymore, no starter wire bridge from the driverside wheel well. Everything custom using just junk I had laying around, some flex tubing and a lot of shrink wrap. I have about 20hrs into this harness so far with no plans on doing this again.

Idk why this intrigues me so much

Cool build! I like how you have basically stripped down your car and rebuilt everything as you see fit Sounds very cool

Cutting up an AE86? Please me know! I need body panels!

I know of only one corolla to have it bar'd. It's a real half-@ssed approach though, but it did pass by using the S2000 gas tank. Mr. John had one customer take up the challenge, never heard back though. The biggest problem to overcome is the gas tank and how the evap system works. The tank is of a different construction, not just shape, than the AE86 one. If you could use the S2000 gas tank, you could bar the swap with no issues.
