LOL Thats a great reply

Hopefully some more updates this month as the propshaft (driveshaft in USA) gets balanced, the exhaust gets re-routed under the axle, the fuel tank fill pipe is remade, the door internals get gutted, the radiator gets fitted and the car goes to paint

Finally some progress :D

A little more work on the drivers side rear arch.

As for the exhaust, I just wasnt happy with the routing over the axle and the fact that the fuel tank would need adjusting again so I got them to change the exhaust system......

The end result is much better :D

Before...

After....

You can also see the nice rolled & angled Ti tailpipe that I requested :D

The Tailpipe should go a nice colour when it gets some heat into it.

just read your whole build from beginning to current. Someone should e-mail this build to toyota as an example of what the ft-86 SHOULD be.

Thanks for the kind comments Looking forward to pushing this to completion but after 3 years I am no longer in a rush. I would rather get it right than rush it.

Next steps will be:

Collect car from fabricators and return it home.
Carry out a few jobs at home with the re-assembly, mount AIM dashboard, fit seats, fit harnesses & fixings, purchase & mount ECU, fit fuel pump, purchase and fit brake lines, purchase & fit fuel lines, fit the carbon door cards, fit the carbon rear quarter cards, fit single wiper motor etc
Send the car for the external paint to be applied.
Refit the headlights, indicators (turn signals), rear lights, number plate lights, wipers etc
Send the car for a full motorsport spec wiring loom with the engine loom on miltary spec plugs.
Send the car for its front screen & windows fitting.

Just a small list.... I think it may take some time

Any updates?

In your last series of pictures it looks like your panhard bar is angled up on the rear differential housing end. You may want to look into a rear rca to help correct the rear geometry.

I am led to believe that the arches are all complete but other than that I don't really know. I am overseas working but I have got wind that the fabricator may be going out of business so I am in a panic to get my car and all the parts removed from there premises to avoid any issues if they do close down.

Looks like a Delta Integrale & a Twincam had a romantic evening & this popped out 9 months later. Love it. One of the best AE86 builds I have ever seen.

Thanks, sorry for the lack of updates but I have been working overseas for the last 16 months so progress is slow.

I can however report that the car is currently in the paintshop. I hope to have updates and pictures within the next 10 days
