Yeah, actually got a good amount of sand to fall out of the thing. Found a couple places it was getting stuck in. Finished up the final prep on the chassis and taking it to the coaters in the morning. Then got bored so I pulled out the front uprights, cleaned them up, and moded them.
Had to go pick up some stuff in the morning so I stopped by my friends shop who is building Dai's new Falken IS350. I made some custom suspension for the old car and ended up making a set for the new car. I supplied them with the weld on kits and Scott did the actual installs. Here is the rear suspension...
And the rear view

Ok, dropped off the chassis at the coaters. I cant wait to see this thing when its done. Said its going to take a couple days. Well, now its time for shopping. I need parts, lots of parts. So far I have nothing really. Went over to our engine supply guy and he's had a 2jzgte out of an aristo sitting in the corner for a while. They cranked it over and did a compression, unfortunatly cyl 3 and 4 are low. I was going to pick it up today but decided to look at the current na motor I have and see how good it still is. Well I didnt even pull the plugs out cause the thing was so dirty and had no starter on it. So I wouldnt beable to crank it over for compression test. The other option is I'm still lacking a trans. I know of one localy for a decent price, but its just a 7m r154, then just a 1j bellhousing and im kinda worried about it not having the throwout bearing, clutch fork, and other small things that would be needed to get it going. I could get a whole 1jz clip and then use the na bottom half, make a 3.0 1j. Not really what I had in mind but it would get all the trans stuff needed. Not as good of a price as well. Let me just make a list, Motor, trans, Pistons maybe, Rods maybe, Cams maybe, Clutch pilot bearing fuel rail for top feed injectors 880cc or better top feed injectors fuel line brake lines big brake kit maybe? (i have some project mu pads for stock brakes, so that may work for a bit) Turbo, gt42? dbb67? Manifold, thinking ebay Ether an ecu with wireharness, or a wireharness with sencors for my autronic smc wire harness for car, thinking painless, the cheepest one with like 8 circuit wheels, I really need a sponcor for this one, I cant afford baller wheels hood, trunk, doors. Been trying my best to get seibon stuff threw some contacts, still dont know I picked up some cheep vertex knockoff kit ($200) and need to try to see if it fits fuel surge tank drive shaft front windsheild, maybe lexan all the windows? a cool ebrake handle, stock one is not going to match. dash board, car didnt come with one, and i need one for tech gauges? do I need anything more then water temp? radiator oil cooler, thinking of stealing it off one of my other cars. remote oil kit thingy. Do they have one for 2jz or just a generic one? steering colum, the stock one is too heavy. Heard mr2 ones or other toyota ones bolt on. The mirrors, i have the housings just missing the glass parts.
I dont know, if you guys can help me out with any of these things, post up or hit me up. I know there is more missing but for now, this are the big things. battleversion86@yahoo.com

Ok, picked up a different motor today. I was going to get that $900 one, think it had a blown headgasket. But then in the back of the room, hidden under a bunch of other motors, there it was, another 2jzgte, with all the stuff still on it. So they pulled it out, did a compression check, and all cyl good. Woot, have a motor now. No reason to post up pics of a stock motor. I didnt get time to play with it all that much, just started taking things off it then a customer came in. Did some mkiii rear links. After, had to load up the trailer and pick up my hot rod. Going to enter the http://www.autobarrelracing.com thing at hin this weekend. Free ticket in the door and a chance for 5k, why not. Damn battery is dead on the thing its been so long sitting in the garage. I may have to find a new one. Anyone got hookups on those small 680cca ones?Hot rod.... http://videos.streetfire.net/v...6.htm

Think it starts at like 4. Not too sure yet, they supposed to call and let us know. I cannot express how happy I was to get the chassis back today. The pictures just dont do it justice as to how nice of a job they did. If you ever need wheels, parts, anything powdercoated in the orange area, even if your inland or la, go to these guys. Best work and best price hands down. O and they have a 25 foot oven for things like cars?
Here is the proof, and you have to see it in person to really get the feel of it. 2 stages, base was a metalic silver, then a red candy over it. I almost went with a blue color but I'm really happy with the red.

I mean it even powdercoated under the car, I really wish I spent a day wire wheeling the damn undercoat off. O well, next time and every time after this, acid dip then add cage, then add powdercoat. Can you belive this costed less then half of what I was quoted for paint?
Edit, If I see another car with the same color done at the same place, I will key your ****!!! THey have lots of custom colors so pick your own.

So saturday, went to hin with the hot rod. I didnt win that autobarrel race unfortunatly, the car started acting up. The trans wouldnt stay in gear so I would have to hold it with one hand and try to drive with the other. Then it was making some bad noises in the rear end. After that all went down, some friends of mine were doing the drift demo on the other side. Someone said "hey, why dont you bring the hot rod over." So I asked if we could and yeah, brought it over to the other side of the show. Grabbed my helmit out of the truck, barrow a set of tires from John off his corolla, and went in the last demo of the night. Made just a few laps before the rear end finally let go, just pulled it in and parked it at that point. Sunday, back to work on the car. Went into the machine shop cause its the only time we can really play and test fit new parts. Finished up making the subframe spacers to eliminate the stock bushings.

That was a sunday, and the machinist wanted a few beers. Who am I to say no. Good news, Picked up a sponsor for cooling products. Maybe you heard of them, More pictures of the products once they are in and being installed. For now, had to start making this car a roller so I can drop it off at the body shop. Started on the upper control arms and removed the stock bushings.
Then cleaned out the left over rubber. The front upper is on the right, the rear upper is on the left. On the rears, they have a metal insert and with the new bushing kit, I just left those in there instead of taking them out.
Then installed the delrin bushings we made a couple weeks ago.
Then pulled out the front subframe and bolted it to the car.
Added the delrin rack bushings and bolted that on.
Battle Version rear traction links and rear toe links.
Then put the rear subframe together.

Its really hard trying to get work done and worrying about trying to get the parts you need to continue working on the car. I spend so much time on the phone and internet inbetween all the installs that I'm really supprised that I can get work done. Today also tore the motor apart but going to save you from motor pics. So many on the forums that I'll wait till its getting ready to be put in. Goal is 1000hp.

It kinda comes down to that I have to build the motor anyway. Most of the parts are the same price or close to the same price then if its for 700hp or 1000hp. Just comes down to the turbo size and boost lvl. Then formula d has kinda turned into a drag race into the drift, so I may as well build a drag setup.

The guy behind me?its starting to look like a car. Getting ready for paint.
Trying to talk Brian Crower out of a 3.4l stroker kit. So far its kinda working. Probably doing a 2jzgte DVD with drifting.com. CP pistons may be helping me out with a set. Ended up on the phone most of the day again. Droping off the motor at [URL="http://www.speedomotive.com/" Speed O Motive[/URL] in the morning to start being cleaned up and ready for machining. I trust those guys alot. We made a sr20det and ran it on thier dyno for the castrol top shop challenge, it made just over 850hp on 100 octane. Still trying to get a clutch and wheels for this thing. The car goes to paint on monday, think I found a color I like.

Picked up another sponsor, Rotora. Too bad thier web site is down. Said it was getting moved or something. 6 hours later and finally the body kit still doesnt fit right but at least its decent from 30ft away.
Thats what I get for buying a $200 body kit. What a waste of time. I did drop off the motor at speed o motive. And the rear end got dropped off at Kaaz. Still need a better clutch pedal, wheel sponsor, and a turbo.

 And
They are sending the BC 3.4 stroker kit with 9.0 compression pistons, 272 cams, titanium retainers, and single style valve springs. We will also be going a DVD with Drifting.com for the motor build. Also when I got home, was happy to find my cat ontop of this
And this thing is cool, rad cap with temp guage built in.

Got a couple new sponsors, http://www.aitracing.com, they saw the body kit and said they had something better. Unfortunatly they are out of front bumpers but will have one in a couple weeks. In the mean time the old bumper will be getting painted. http://www.knwautobody.com/ will be doing the body work. Great guys and they are used to dealing with aftermarket cars. At least half the cars in there today where getting kits fitted and molded. If your looking for someone in the 909, hit these guys up. I'm leaving for hawaii tomarro (family stuff) which kinda works out I guess. The chassis is over at knwautobody and they will need it for some time. Then the BC stroker showed up at speed o motive this morning. They will need some time to get that together too. Which leaves me a week with nothing to do but hang out with old friends and the family. I'm glad to take a break from this car which has taken up all my time. Just when I get back, its full tilt till the end. I'm still in need of some parts which I hope to have ordered and on its way to the shop by the time I get back.

You will have mail soon memeWell today was april 1st and I dont know if it was a joke or not, but talked to Ray over at Kaaz to go pick up the diff and he said he did something special to it. So my impression was he shimmed the diff some special way to make it better then normal or something. Well when I got down to Kaaz, this is what I found.
Also Speed O Motive called, said the valve guides where no good and we needed replacements, which kinda sucks cause we are supposed to be shooting the DVD with drifting.com tomarro. Well they found some on short notice unfortunatly cause now I have to wake up in a few hours to start on that.
Kenny over at K&W autobody calls me and said "I need parts", well I've been talking to Seibon for a while and they never came to a hard decision but they finally gave in a bit and helped us out. Ring the bell, we have a new sponsor, not full but at least I got the parts needed to keep this thing going.
Thank god someone in the USA makes doors for this car. Not cheep by any means but at least its there.

Then also got the TSII hood and the oem trunk

I'm running out of time fast. Start building the motor in a few hours.
