post any cross reference wires you have seen that work with either 20v blacktop or silvertop.

I know some people try to keep info like this to themselves, but why keep useful information to myself? I know there are people in the same situation as me so I would like to help.

As far as spark plugs go, I found that the NGK Platinum Plugs part number BRK6EP-11 are a great match that I am running now on my car.

I also found that the 1993-95 4 runner 4WD (4 cylinder model) wires fit perfectly for the silvertop even down to the clips that clip into the distributor as well as the coil. i bought them from autozone for $33. saves you $80+ shipping for OEM. The only difference between them structurally is the stalks of the 4runner ones are shorter, but because they dont have a shroud cover like the oem ones, you can slide them right into place. you may want to run your spark plug cover to prevent dust from getting in.

The Autozone part number is 9023

If you want to run copper plugs, I did some cross-referencing and you can get NGK BKR6E but you have to re gap them from 0.9mm to 1.1mm. Everything else about them is exactly the same.

This is a definite sticky. There is a new topic every week about which plugs/plug wires to run. People can find out easily enough by using the search function, but no one ever does. This has all the info they need so it would be a good sticky.

Why do noobs call their hatch a HATCHI, but no one calls their coupe a COUCHI?

thanks guys for the input. I also went as far to modify the top of the 4runner wires, by cutting my oem top hats and running them onto the new wires, that way the cylinder holes are still covered.

here's what they looked like after:

and on my car (mind you its just a mock fitting):

These pics you've shown were nice. Yeah, indeed the wires are of different sizes. I guess you just need to install the spark plugs wires properly.

Magnecor will make you custom wires.... any length, any ends - just ask, and give them measurements

For example...

my wires, perfect fit, yet they run through the intake manifold gap to the passenger inner fender where the coils are mounted

Get the Summit Racing Generic Spark plug wires ones and crimp on your terminals, these are cheap and 8mm thick wires, Great bang for the buck.
