LOL....I did read your post to fast. That way makes more sense now.

I Have a s14 swap and I have no notched X-member, No X-member spacers, Motor sits perfect. The motor is a really tight fit around Rack on Driver side Coulmn portion. But other than fits great. I did have to cut a lil bit of the under hood support.

Nice on the wiring diagram!

Way easier. That diagram, along with the FRSport writeup should get most engines running in a weekend.

Did you run your waterlines? I just grabbed my SR20 yesterday and I'm working on thinning out the harness and I'll be dropping it in this week just wondering about waterlines..

For waterline info, look back one page (or http://forums.club4ag.com/zero...98209). All the fitting sizes are there, though the S14 (maybe) and S15 engines (as well as FWD variants) have different coolant lines than the S13. I also bought a Stance spacer that adds a 1/8" NPT port between the head and the driver side waterneck, but I'm not using it because it is impossible to tap it for the OEM Toyota sending unit. If you are using the factory turbo manifold and elbow, just buy the ISIS waterline kit from http://NissanParts.cc. Top and bottom mount kits available. If I read the HTML correctly, this link should show you both of them: http://www.nissanparts.cc/cata...3560

$140 seemed like a lot to pay for a waterline kit so I decided to make my own, but if you spend the money for the ISIS kit, I can almost guarantee that you will save time and (a lot) of money over doing it yourself. Of course, I ended up spending a little more because I had to guess at some of the angles for the fittings (mostly due to having a non-standard top mount setup), and ended up with several "extra" fittings. If you go by the sizes and angles I posted, you should only have to alter the lengths of the hoses to make it work, and even then they will be pretty close to the same lengths. I use PTFE fittings and hoses from http://frozenboost.com, as I haven't found them cheaper anywhere else. I've had pretty good luck with them (good prices/fast shipping), and they also sell couplers, clamps, and aluminum tubing for plumbing your intercooler setup.

The tricky one is the coolant return line from the turbocharger, as it is on the back of the motor and nearly impossible to access once the motor is in the car. My advice is to replace the rubber hose and attach the hose barb fitting and return line prior to installing the motor in the chassis. Also be careful not to damage the heater core nipples when dropping the motor in, or there will be another couple of hours work to remove the dash and plenum in order to replace the heater core (which appears to be impossible to find in the aftermarket). If I had it to do over again, I'd cut the 90deg bends off of the factory heater core inlet and outlets, and have some -6AN male fittings welded straight on to them. This would make the job of fitting heater hoses much easier also.

I never had PS on my 4AG, and went with a manual rack conversion when doing this swap, so I can't answer definitively. I believe that this question was addressed earlier in the thread: http://forums.club4ag.com/zero...07188. Since no one mentions having to use custom PS lines, I'd say it probably all works.

When you use the subframe spacers do you need to extend the steering column, if so how would you do that. I have PW steering.

You do not need to extend anything unless you are converting to a manual rack.

I do have power steering on mine and it bolted right up. I just used the stock AE86 lines and reservior. Just used the stock parts as well from the SR PS pump and rotated one part to fit better.

Also, I have a question for will_drift_4_food, how is it drifting with no power steering in your car? Also what size wheels are you running? I found it very hard to drift with no PS and 16x8 wheels. Power steering FTW!

Is anyone running air conditioning in their sr86s?

Anyone have input into what components you'll need?

Thanks.

Can someone message me and help me with wiring my windshield wiper motor? It seems that on the 240 they have the plug on their body harness while the GTS AE86 has it on the engine harness? Totally stumped right now. Thanks.
