Billy Did they ever get around to Dynoing your 20v? Curious to see what kind of numbers it puts out

I was over there on Saturday & everything is hooked up on the dyno. The map is done but they were having communication problems between the crank trigger & the ecu ( AEM EMS4 ). The crank trigger is providing a signal as expected but the ECU isn't seeing it. They're working with AEM to get it figured out. Seeing it on the dyno made me say "damn, that engine looks so much better than the 16v"

Already using COPs but running them on batch fire based on the crank trigger. If something doesn't change very soon I will be switching ECUs.

the AEM EMS4 can only take a rising edge signal and i think the 20V is falling edge. The polarity on the wires has to be switched and the shielding of the CAS wires is critical! Its a really fragile setup.

This morning the 20v made 210bhp at 8,500rpm & 140lbs of torque on pump gas.
Waiting on the dyno sheet from Hasselgren.
I thought with these cams that it's a great result. He said with bigger cams, more compression & a few more revs ( revs depend on the bigger cams ) it could close in on 220bhp.

Hasselgren supplied it. I believe it came with the 1.8L front cover.
They made the trigger wheel themselves.

Grant, no cam angle sensor. Batch fire based on the crank sensor.
Andrew, you will hopefully see it in one of my friends cars at an upcoming meet. I'm picking up my 16v tomorrow.

Here's the 20v in my shop waiting for it's new engine bay:

Not much of an update as work has been pretty hectic.
I finally decided on exactly where & how to mount the oil tank in the trunk. I used 2 pieces of aluminum, one bent in a press to match the shape of the inside of the spare wheel well with the vertical piece drilled, tapped & welded to it. It needs to be tidied up but you get the idea. I will also drill the trunk floor to allow me to drain the tank oil without lifting the car.
The clutch kit also arrived from Hasselgren. It's a Tilton twin disc with a Mazda splined hub & billet pressure plate and a 3kg flywheel. Just waiting for the chassis harness and it's full steam ahead.

Billy what were the specs on the 20v engine as far as cams bore size and C/R? Curious to know so I can make a educated guess of what my engine will make being i will have 200cc more then u, running 13/1 with 300 duration 10.7mm lift cams and the bunch of other goodies Ive done

The bore size is stock.
Cams are 9.55mm lift intake, 8.5mm lift exhaust. Duration is 284 for both.
Compression is 11.5:1. The block was hot honed which they say makes a big difference.

cool Quick Silver Race Engines is building my engine...they are one of the founding formula class engine builders along side Loyning....now my expectations are very high being that im 83mm bore, alot higher in C/R then yours, and a lot higher lift...not to mention the extensive DLC, WPC treatment and dry film coatings I have on parts and through out the engine...im hoping that frees up a lot of the loss from friction. I also got the custom valves from Ferrea.....you went with the supertech oversize correct? I will talk to you offline about those...dont want to hurt nobodies feelings here......your cams were the kelford correct?
