I had a DIY writeup for this i though. I just looked for it and I cant find it now, might be deleted.

Well first you need to look for some LEDs. I suggest 5mm high flux LEDs from superbrightleds.com or something.

Order like 50-100. Buy some solder and soldering equipment.

Youll also need some resistors to limit power going to the LEDs because they cant handle the same power as stock bulbs.

Also going to need a board to solder them too (Soldering Boards?) Fuhh idk what they are called

for info on what type of resistors youll need for your array goto:
http://led.linear1.org/led.wiz

input these values just to get an idea->
source voltage - 12V
diode forward voltage - (White) 3.3
diode forward current - 20
number of LEDs in your array - (?) as many as you want to put I think 50 would do well.

like an s30 z? quite possibly. i've been meaning to convert my friend's s30's taillights to LED.

Idk if its easier but probably about as easy as the 86.

With the tail lghts you must soak them in hot water to loosen the bonding of the glue. then you can peel the tail lights out from the housing allowing you to measure your boards and stuff to start work on em.

I completed my LED conversion about 2 weeks ago and its great.

Great thread. I have my led's and resistors, just looking for more info before i tackle this prodject. So i can use three leds per resistor, resistor goes on the positive side of the led. How do you make it so all the lights on the board are used as running and brake lights? I know ive seen it that way, but i see no info on how to do that. Anyone have any info?
