Updated video of the car actually doing car things. Good stuff, sounds mean. Minor bad language at the end due my coworkers disgust over missing the action.

I used a thin sheet of foam filter material on top of the jubiride screens.

meet2 by McKenneyLevin, on Flickr

A little fun day at my house. Aaron, Mark, and a few other friends joined for some steak and car talk. The pics Aaron has posted don't do justice to the in person view. The car runs great and sounds like a symphony. I was honored he let me drive it and romp on it some. This mofo does amazing work and built one badass car!

Not yet. I wanted to put some miles on the engine before tuning and dyno pulls. It was brand new when it went in. Going to try some street tuning on Wednesday and see if we can get it running a little better. I'll post dyno results as soon as I get them.

And Josh: I can't seem to find where I got the wiring info for the alternator. Assassin would probably know off the top of his head if you haven't figured it out already.

i drove this saturday night. my initial impression is that it's an unbelievably awesome place to start from. as soon as it gets tuned and has the last nagging issues sorted out it's going to be a real monster.

you need these wheels:

That makes sense, best of luck with the tuning.
Silly me, I took off the alternator and there's a diagram on it saying what's what lol.
My car should be running by the end of the week.
Thanks for all your help, and answering my questions and all the usefull tips.

The filters killed my motor! Not dead but SLOW!!!!!!!!!! No wonder Chris (4doors) wasn't impressed. I left from a stop sign and was waiting for it to start pulling hard. It didn't happen. This was the first time I went full throttle since adding the air filters. When Chris drove the car Saturday night I had just put them on and my car always feels slow to me from the passenger seat so I didn't notice.

Not sure what I'm going to do about it yet...

we call these uni filters or socks that has a spring and the foam filter goes over the ram tubes about$ 70 a set of 4 complete with cable ties ,the bad point is you loose a few hp like 3 or 4 but thats better than dirt and dust in your motor

Craig: I have those on my Mikuni's. They fit fine on the factory stacks because of the thin lip and moulded crease in the rubber outers of the filters along with some spacing inbetween the stacks, but I don't think they'd fit that well on rolled lipped stacks. You may be able to measure the od of the stack and the id of the filter to see if you can slightly stretch them on to hold as they make different sizes.

The problem I think you are having with the filter media is that it's too close and doesnt have enough flow. Ive tried that by making some rounded stacks for my carbs. No go...

Look this guy up on ebay or facebook...
