I bought a 86 Mr2 and they guy who had it last told me they replaced the engine and haven't been able to get it started. Also stated he ran a jumper wire from the diagnostic plug. Thinking to the starter relay. Said he went to start it and the wire burnt up. Now I'm thinking there's a missing ground somewhere. The starter dose not click when I turn the key. Losing power somewhere. So how many grounds should there be and where about should I found them? I'll look at it tomorrow. Just ran through it today. Any other suggestions are welcome.

Relax, all right? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.

My MR-S is like a hot stripper. I keep throwing money at her hoping one day she will give me the ride of my life.

Starter has 2 wires for it....ones a plug and another is bolted into it, 12mm iirc. Check that one and make sure it's getting good contact.
